As already announced in early October on Air-Journal, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and Korean Air, the largest airline of South Korea, have decided to expand their codeshare agreement.
The two companies will strengthen their partnership with six new destination s, not four as originally announced. In this second phase of cooperation, Etihad Airways will place its EY code on services of Korean Air from Seoul Incheon to Honolulu, Vancouver and Hong Kong. Korean Air KE place its code on Etihad Airways flights from Abu Dhabi to Johannesburg, Muscat, subject to government approval, Khartoum. gntc

I feel that all the skyteam alliance companies have agreements with Ethiad ... The integration of Etihad in Skyteam would sense and input would be great for Air berlin airfrance
It is rather the opposite approach: Etihad establish partnerships with companies that interest them. The majority of partners are also NOT in Skyteam. Etihad has created so few OWN ALLIANCE gntc has since partnered with 21 companies! (Skyteam only 19 companies!) If Etihad had wanted SKYTEAM she would already long entry! We'll see in 2014 if the entry in QATAR ONEWORLD changes the game at Etihad but I do not see the interest in it. I think on the contrary that it will continue the same line adopted several years ago ... getting new alliances.
